Joe C. “Snow” Ables, 87, died November 9, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services were Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Burial was in Harland Creek Cemetery.
Snow was an Equipment Superintendent for the Mississippi State Highway for over 30 years. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors are wife of 62 years, Goldie Loftin Ables; daughters, Martha Jo Dickard (Robert) and Amy Renee Ward (Dwayne); one special grandson, Michael Dwayne Ward (Shelby); sister, Annie Faye Ferrell (Vivian).And also grandchildren, Bob Dickard (Sandra) and Stephanie Bilsky(Paul) and great-grandchildren, Hillary Dickard, Kirsten Dickard, Wade Dickard, Ronnie Dickard, D.J. Bilsky, Lindsey Huffman, and Sophie Bilsky. He is also survived by a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by son, Michael Joe Ables, parents, Byrd and Essie Ables, sisters, Gladys Rogers and Helen Ainsworth and brother, Mabry Ables.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 8349 Thornton-Tolarsville Road, Lexington, MS 39095.
