Pauline Hughes, 89, died December 9, 2015 in Anniston, Alabama. Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Lexington with visitation at 10 am also at the church. Burial will be 2 pm in Oakland Cemetery in Oakland, MS.
Mrs. Hughes was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church. After graduating from MSCW she was employed for one year at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. She then married, James Franklin Hughes where she assisted him with his business while also raising her family. She loved her church and growing blueberries and figs which she always shared with her friends.
Survivors are son, Jeff Hughes (Ronda) of Springville, AL and daughter, Rachael Hughes Turri (Tom) of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Amanda Turri Billingsly, Thomas Turri and Emma Turri and great grandson, Tony Bravo Turri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Hughes; son, James Franklin “Jim” Hughes, Jr. and brothers, Clide Vernon Landreth and Leslie Dean Landreth.
