Obituary for Lauren Delle Wier

Lauren Delle Wier died on December 6th, 2019 in Lexington, Mississippi.

She was the daughter of Howard Baker Wier, III, and Jeanne Mauldin Wier of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Lauren graduated from Broadmoor High School in Baton Rouge in 1976. She graduated from Nichols State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in General Home Economics. While residing in Stuart, Florida, Lauren worked in several healthcare roles including medical coding, quality management, and eligibility requirements for hospice care. She also was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1282. Lauren more recently was a resident of Goodman, Mississippi followed by her residence in Lexington, Mississippi, at Lexington Manor Senior Care.

She enjoyed outdoor activities including visits to the beach and ocean in South Florida, and especially enjoyed excursions taken with her brother Howard Baker and close friends to local beaches in the vicinity of Stuart and Key West, Florida.

She is survived by her mother Jeanne Mauldin Wier of Shrock, Mississippi; her brother Dr. Alan Thomas Wier and Alan’s wife Gina Ghirardi Wier of Olive Branch, Mississippi; nephew Jacob Thomas Wier of Denver, Colorado; niece Diana Jeanne Wier Sanders of Memphis, Tennessee; and grand-niece Scarlett Jeanne Sanders, daughter of Diana Jeanne and Clay Houston Sanders of Memphis, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her father Howard Baker Wier, III, her brothers Howard Baker Wier, IV, and Evan Mauldin Wier, and her aunt Clydelle Shrock Mauldin of Shrock, Mississippi.

Funeral services will be held at Goodman United Methodist Church in Goodman, Mississippi at 2:00 pm on Thursday December 12th. Graveside services will be held at Green Oaks Memorial Cemetery in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at 2:00 pm on Friday December 13th.

Lauren will be greatly missed by her family and friends as she goes forth to the place prepared for her in heaven with Jesus Christ.
