Jean Lewis Murren passed, at age 91, on December 31st, 2019 in Burnswick, Georgia. Jean Murren was born on April 1st, 1928 in Mississippi. She worked as an assistant manager at TWL Variety Store in Durant,Ms. Jean attended the Church of God of Prophecy for 63 years and then the Brunswick Church of God of Prophecy for the last 5 years (after moving to Burnswick, Georgia). Jean Murren's survivors are her brother, Haywood Lewis of Vicksburg, MS, her daughters, Teresa Garver (Glenn) of Burnswick, Georgia and Glenva Ellis (Larry) of Tullahoma, Tennesee, as well as her 5 grandchildren, and her 10 great-grandchildren. She was Proceeded in death by her husband Max Murren.
The visitation will be Saturday January 4th at Southern Funeral Home in Lexington, MS from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. The burial will be held at Mizpah cemetery in Durant, MS.
