Peggy Craney Frost, 85, died peacefully in her sleep at her home on May 5, 2020.
Peggy was born on September 30, 1934 in Paris Tennessee. Eventually Peggy moved to Lexington Mississippi after having grown up in Winona and Kosciusko Mississippi. Peggy married the “Love of her Life” M.L. “Sonny” Frost. After working in the bank in Lexington Peggy and “Sonny” purchased a grocery store in Pickens Mississippi.
Peggy and “Sonny” worked together in their Grocery Store for many years. After selling the store Peggy and Lorance enjoyed being faithfull Christians in the Church’s they fellowshipped in. They enjoyed their retirement years together along with their family and friends in Lexington Mississippi. They were married for 57 years.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Mercer Lorance Frost and sister Anne Byrd . Peggy is survived by her two daughters and son in law Cynthia Leigh Poole ,Chris Poole and Madeline Gayle Nowak; granddaughters Heather Blair and Lelia Eastgate; grandsons Chris Whitehead and Dustin Whitehead; great grandson Carter Blair and great granddaughters Cloe’ Whitehead and Harper Kate Blair. Two sisters Mary Jane Ellison and Betty Jo Wilson.
The song “Victory in Jesus” was Peggy’s only request. How telling of her faith. Jesus the way, the truth and the life.
The family of Peggy would like to extend their appreciation to the group of her in-home caregivers.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 9, at 2:00 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
