Obituary for Bill McLellan
A Family Gathering for the Celebration of Life for Charles William "Bill" McLellan, 74, will be Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Southern Funeral Home, Lexington, MS at 9:00 a.m.
Mr. McLellan passed away Thursday, August 26, at Tupelo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 30, 1947 in Lexington, MS to George William McLellan and Minnie Sue Bailey McLellan. He attended church services and served as pianist at the Nursing Center in Tupelo, MS, where he loved and appreciated his many caregivers.
Mr. McLellan was a graduate of Lexington High School and continued to receive a B.A. in Church Music from William Carey College.
He loved the town of Lexington, First Baptist Church, and his many friends and relatives of Holmes County. He is survived by his sister, Suzanne McLellan Hand (Robert), nieces Georgianna Hand Robinson (Rick) and Susan L. Hand Pina (Art), one great-niece Taylor Jane Robinson, and great-nephews Rhett Robinson and Occoee Pina, and also McLellan and Bailey cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, George W. McLellan and Minnie Sue Bailey McLellan.
