Obituary for Auburtin Swinney
Auburtin Swinney, 82, of Lexington, MS, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022 in Columbia, MS. He worked for a number of years for Edwards Logging as a truck driver.
Auburtin was preceded in death by his wife Marian Tyson Swinney, and his parents Willie Rathell and Mattie Bennett Swinney.
He was a graduate of Lexington High School, and a member of Oregon Memorial Church.
Auburtin is survived by his sons William "Bill" Swinney (Cindy) of Crystal Springs, MS, and Bobby Swinney of Clinton, MS, six grandchildren, and his sister Janet Martin of Lexington, MS.
Visitation and funeral services will be Monday, August 1, 2022. Visitation will begin at 11 A.M. at Southern Funeral Home in Lexington with graveside service at Coxburg Cemetery near Lexington at 1 P.M.
