Obituary for Lucy Alexander
Lucy Ann Dickerson Alexander, 79, of Durant, MS passed away at Saint Dominic Memorial Hospital Hospital in Jackson, MS on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. Lucy was retired after serving over 20 years as secretary with the Holmes County District Attorney Office.
Lucy was preceded in death by her parents Cephas and Clydie Burrell Dickerson, her daughter Pam Rucker, and brothers Glyn and Kenneth Dickerson.
Lucy is survived by her husband of 59 years Louis Alexander of Durant, MS, her daughter April (Guy) Marrone of Bentonville, AR,and sisters Gwen (Wardell) Herring, Sara (Bob) Middleton, and Carol (George "Bubba") Holley all of Madison, MS.
She is also survived by 5 wonderful grandchildren.
Visitation and services will be Sunday, November 6, 2022 from The Durant Church in Durant, MS. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. with services following at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Alexander-Cade-Smith Cemetery near West, MS.
Southern Funeral Home, Lexington, is in charge of arrangements.
